Crows Feet - love them or hate them?
Evidence of years of smiling and laughter or something that just reminds you of your age that you would rather forget? If you are in the latter group then you may wish to consider Botox or dermal filler treatment.
Botox injected around the lateral aspect of the eye in the obicularis occuli muscle can reduce the ability of the muscle to contract and cause wrinkles around the eye. This effect can last 4-6 months.
If you are after something that lasts longer, a very soft dermal filler can be injected in tiny aliquots along the crease of the crows feet thereby lifting the base of the crease and softening the lines. With this method you can still use all the facial expressions you may wish as it doesn’t affect the underlying muscular movement at all. Normally this treatment lasts 6-18 months.
A refresher around the eyes may just be what you need. No more cucumber slices!
